Inspired by Maka Albarn, the work draws from academia, precision, and the quiet authority of someone who knows exactly what they are doing. Structured silhouettes, sharp contrasts, and deliberate detailing create a composition that feels academic without becoming restrained.
Black and deep red establish the foundation, interrupted by flashes of white, silver, pastel yellow, dark green, and pale blue. The soul scythe, striped green tie, red and black plaid, buckles, and nail buttons reference the visual language of the meister, while notebook paper and the sun introduce a more personal, almost intimate quality. Soul’s soul wrapping around her yellow soul becomes a central motif, bringing the character’s connection and partnership into the composition.
